The Ministry of Education invites all eligible Caymanians to submit an application for the Overseas Scholarship for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The supplication period spans 15 November 2021 and closes at 11:59 pm on Monday, 31 January 2022. All successful applicants will access their funds from Fall 2022 onwards. (September 2022)
“These scholarships provide an excellent opportunity for students who would not have been otherwise able to afford it, to pursue further education from accredited overseas institutions,” commented Manager of the Scholarship Secretariat Unit, Dr. Shari Smith.
Undergraduate students granted the scholarship are awarded CI $30,000 per annum.
Additionally, the top male and female undergraduate applicants admitted into an Ivy League Institution or Gold Tiered Institution will each be awarded up to a maximum of CI $100,000 per annum through the Cayman Scholar Award.
Applicants interested in overseas postgraduate studies, i.e., Master’s and Doctoral degrees, can also access a maximum of CI$35,000.00 per annum.
